| Show A shocking accident A dispatch dated broken bow neb dec 14 says the details of one of the most horrible acci accidents denti which have ever occurred in this thia country were received here today james W bankin a young farmer living L sixteen miles northeast north east of this place on december 10 started on a hunt in a sleigh taking a double bar meled shot gun with him when about halt half a mile from his bis house bouse the gun slipped back on the sleigh and upon his taking hold bold of the muzzle of it to pull it toward him the hammers were pulled back and discharged both loads into his bis beatt uis ills clothes took lire fire and were entirely consumed with the exception of his bis overshoes and the feet of his bid felt boots which were protected by the overshoes when he be was discovered today the lines were still bead firmly in hi hn hia a right hand and the team was t danding close to the edge of a deep ravine aney were nearly starved to death and had gnawed the sleigh tongue nearly in two the young mans father was killed by lightning not far from the spot where the accident y occurred less then nine months |
