State President Seegmiller made his report of the stake, stating that: The presidency meets each Wednesday evening That there are now 5359 souls in the stake, so that there is an increase despite the large number that are sent away as colonists, and with the increase of water it is expected tojdouble in at least 15 years. Monthly stake priesthood meetings are held and the reports from the wards show that each ward ha9 its good church members as well as its poor ones. The wards that depend on cattle and sheep are depressed financially. The grain and hay crops were light in most of the stake, though good in Aurora , Salina and Redmond. The beet crop was very good in pleceR where the others were light. It is very hard work to get the ward teachers to do there duty. Mrs. Sorenson reports the Relief Society of the stake. Supt. W. A. Seegmiller of the stake Sunday school said: We have had some very progressive Sunday school workers, and the work is in a thriving condition. The nickel fund reached nearly 100 per cent this year, but sickness caused some schools to be closed so they sent but little in. Arrangements are made to begin the regular course of study the first of next year. Mrs. L. Heppler. stake superintendent of the Primary association, The work is doing well, though it does best in summer.(.b) The boys do not attend and the association is organizing boys classes to get them in, (c) that a monthly officers meeting will be held each month at the same time as stake priesthood i at Ephraim Will Contest.
