KEEPING UP WITH creates scholarship Waterfowl MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND STARTED The University of Idaho athletic department has established a Glenn White Memorial Scholarship Fund in honor of the star running back who died , Aug. 9, of a rare blood disease. The fund, according to UI athletic director Bill Belknap, will provide a scholarship for a "deserving student-athletAnyone wishing to contribute a gift to the scholarship fund may do so in care of the UI athletic department. The Wildlife Board approved regulations for the three-mont- h season through January 4 at their meeting on August 13. The waterfowl proclamation is available from all Division offices, and will be available from license agents during the last week in August. Waterfowl bag limits will remain the same during the 1980 season. The bag and possession limits for ducks are 7 and 14, respectively, except no more than 2 redheads or 2 or 1 of each may be taken daily. A hunter is allowed five geese daily or in possession, with no more than 3 white geese and 2 Canada geese. The bag and possession limit for coot is 25. At this writing there are not enough applicants for a 150 pound league. 75-John Lambrose , with his brother, Dean have 25 kids of the 75 round limit. Jeff Smith is a second assistant to Coach Lambrose. 75-Lyle Evans has the other team of 25 beginners. For assistants, Lyle has selected Bliss Fullmer, Dean Weisse Kelly Skidmore and Randy Greever. Coaches Ernie Jacklin and Fred Thompson of Roy High School each have a youngster on Evans team. 75-Bill McBride has twenty-plu- s nine year olds on his team. Artie and Eric Aragon are helping Fil with his 26 ball players. Tom Fowler and Mike Stephens have teamed up to run one of the ninety pound teams, and Bob Kilburn is helping them.FowIers philosophy is to have an offensive and A team, and three substitutes for each team. He has 27 players on his roster. 90-Mike Dunbar is assisted by David Stone. Mike and Dave plan to run out of the I and Wishbonel. Mike has 28 players on his team. 105-Kurt Llloyd has joined forces with Chuck Smith for one super 106 pound team. They had anticipated having two teams, but did not have enough players. Now they have 29 players on one team. Kurt will run the offense and Chuck, the defense, and defensive assist each other as needed - 125-- A Rick Eldson has Doug and Mike Morgan assisting him with the junior high school age kids. B Utah Jazz slate road games and KSL television schedules The Utah Jazz has announced its complete schedule, both home and away, for the 1980-8- 1 season. All NBA teams will once again play an regular season schedule, with 41 games at home and 41 on the road. The Jazz will once again have 12 of its 41 road games televised back to Utah and the vicinity on KSL-Tchannel 5 in Salt Lake City. Utah will televise three games in October, one in November, two in December, three in January, one in February and two games in March. TV schedule The action-packe- d includes games with the NBA World Champion Los Angeles Lakers and the runnerup Philadelphia 76ers. Other TV games of special interest include telecasts from New York, Boston and Seattle.
