Clearfield fifth news Hawaii" was the theme of Clearfield Fifth Wards Fall Social, which was held Tuesday, September 25, 1979, with 80 sisters in attendance, including four Stake Board members and six visitors. An authentic Hawaiian program of songs and dance (including hula dancing) was presented to a very appreciative audience by a group of seven Hawaiians, currently living in the Salt Lake City area. The Cultural Hall was appropriately decorated with green plants, cut fresh pineapples, flowers, shells, netting and cutouts of mermaids and fish. The program presented was reminiscent of those at the Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie, Hawaii. The Fifth Ward Social Committee, both chairmen and members, were thanked for a delightful evenings entertainment. The Clearfield fifth Ward would like to congratulate a member of their ward in her achievement, in tielng for first place for Senior Citizens around the state of Utah, in the Governors sports Senior Citizens Golf tournament Competition.
