MARTY TREASE Marge Holt and daughter Terrie went to Blanding last week to attend a family reunion of the Hursts. It was held in the park and LDS Chapel in Blanding with about fifty attending. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Coxey were among family members honoring Mrs. Marta T. Runchel, Mrs. Coxeys mother on Sunday in honor of her 90th birthday. The open house was held at her home in Roy on Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Runchel was born on July 26, 1889 in Amsterdam, Holland. She imigrated to the United States in 1917 and has resided in the Roy, Ogden area since that time. Her husband Jens Runchel of married to in 1921 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, died in 1964. She is a member of the Roy LDS 9th Ward. Her two sons are Olaf G. Runchel of Ogden and Eyler Ike W. Runchel of whom she Roy. Ralph Evans has returned to his job on the highway patrol after nine months recuperating from bullet received he wounds arresting a father and thirteen year old Pablo Borrego Jr. His wounds were in the neck and lower back. Beesley were honored on Saturday by their family with an open house on their 60th wedding anniversary. It was held in the Ogden LDS 6th ward Relief Society room. Mrs. Beesley is the former Hazel O. Beus of Clinton. They are active members of the LDS church. He was a member of the first Sunset LDS ward bishopric that was organized. They observed their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip to New Zealand where Mr. Beesley had been on a mission early in his life. Their children are R. Lewis Beesley, Ogden; E. Vem Luthy of Downey Cal. There are 23 grandchildren and 26 n. James and Karla Makes new son arrived on July 27. Tamera Opp spent a week in San Diego visiting with a former roommate Shelly Hansen at Ricks College. She expects to attend BYU this fall. Denzil and Charlene Hansen had a family dinner on Sunday in honor of their son Bart who leaves on to another Monday assignment in the navy. He expects to go to the Pacific, Hawaii and Japan and other islands in that area. He has been stationed in San Diego and has been home on leave for a month. Jell-- Americana eggcuitard mix. cup milk I cup light cream or half and half I teaspoon vanilla one fourth cup grated sweet cooking chocolate 1 baked pie shell, cooled. 1 0 1 Blend custard mix, milk and cream In a saucepan. Bring quickly to a boil, stirring constantly. (Misture will be thin). Add vanilla. Cool 15 minutes, stirlng often. Meanwhile, sprinkle 3 tablespoons of the grated chocolate in bottom of pie shell. Spoon cooled custard into pie shell and sprinkle with remaining grated chocolate. Chill at least 2 hours. Refrigerate any leftover pie. |
