It is a beautiful white float with a touch of blue. A large wheel depicting the wheel of progress is placed at one end of the float with a throne balancing on the other end. The wheel alone is covered with 300 white flowers. The float was designed for Hyrum City by Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Rose and Mrs. Bill Ballam. The National Safety Council advises that more than 500 accidental deaths were reported immediately after the Memorial Day holiday. The Council fears the Fourth of July holiday also a three-da- y week end may be even more tragic unless the nation resolves to celebrate with more caution. , Traffic accidents will lead the holiday parade of accidents, the Council said, with drowning the next most important hazard. His twin , brother, Dr. J. Russel Smith lives in Provo.. He married Miss Phyllis Merrill of Richmond In the Logan LDS temple. Mr. Smith is a nephew of Jonathan Smith of Benson. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1 p ' m. in Richmond and interment will be at the Smithfield cemetery. The funeral of Mr. Rennel Smith will be held in the stake tabernacle at Richmond on Saturday, July 5 at ? p m. Mr Smith died suddenly at Fresno, California on Saturday, June 28. He spent most of his early life in Richmond. He graduated from the North Cache High School and the USAC, His wife is the former T'hyllis Merrill. Rennel will be remembered as a former all star athlete of North Cache High School, and also of the USAC. He was a graduate of the college. While there he was an athlete starring in football, basketball, track, broad jump and was an excellent javelin thrower. He was also an Instructor at the college.
