He was born on October 20, 1881 in Hyrum, a son of Wm. A. and Cynthia Benson McBride On January 18, 1911 he married Annie Brown who died in 1932. He is the father of five children, three of whom survive. They are Lee McBride of Hyrum, Neta Hendry of Wellsville and Reba Glenn of Logan. There are seven grandchildren and a brother, Leroy, of Logan and a brother James of Lyman, Montana.
