Show THE SEVENTH DAY the con constitutional 8 convention nearing the close of its labors the sessions of the constitutional convention yesterday afternoon and evening were occupied in considering the proposed constitution by sections at the conclusion of this labor a special of seven were appointed to review the whole work and report to the convention at 11 am today to day to which hour an adjournment was taken the special committee was composed of S R thu thurman r le grand young J T hammond TV W W riter kiter joseph barton C C richards Eich ards and E G woolley today to day when the convention resumed mr thurman reported that the special committee was no not t prepared to make a complete report ft it had been found that several changes were necessary particularly in regard to elections mr thurman reported d a portion of the amendments suggested the convention took a recess for thirty minutes on resuming mr winder moved that a committee of seven be appointed to nominate delegates to present the constitution to congress and ask admission inton in the union carried tha th president appointed as said C ommittee committee J r it winder W N dusenburry james sharp alma eldredge 0 G snow F K R clayton clay ton J P E R christensen mr boorn moved that the chair appoint a committee en an memorial to be composed of five members carried the chair announced that the committee m I 1 atee would be named during the day the Con convention vendon then took recess till 2 p miyah miya this T hit is afternoon the convention waited until tor for the committees mit tees report at that hour the convention resolved itself into a caucus to consult with the committee at 3 the committee or revision made their report recommending several amendments the committee appointed to nomi nate delegates reported a section providing that lions hons F S richards E EG G woolley and W W riter biter be elected as delegates to be associated with hon flon john T caine in presenting the application for admission as a state to longress congress |
