A friend of mine told me about his misadventure at a party in Pleasant View last summer. It was a pot luck steak fry each person brought his own steak and something to share. My friend (Ill call him Bob) set his food down on the garden table and began to help the hostess. He thought she was pretty cute and wanted to get some Brownie points with her. When everyone started putting their steaks on the grills he looked for his. It wasnt where he left it, but some of the girls were putting on steaks for the guys. Sure enough, there was his steak, cooking on a grill. So he seasoned it and went back to helping the hostess set out pickles, salads and potato chips. In the meantime, a guy by the name of Gene seasoned the same steak, thinking it was his. Then he went off to visit with some cute gals he was trying to hustle. Bob checked his steak, turned and seasoned course Bob had already made off with it. My steak is gone, Gene Someone took He spent the exclaimed. my steak! next about minutes wailing his steak while everyone else ate.
