Show Wednesday, February Marcia Homer continued from page February 22nd, Presidents Day, is a very special day. It is a day set aside to honor all the great presidents of our nation. Most people think its just a day to get out of school or work, but it should mean more than that. Its true that some people didnt agree with a few of our presidents, but even if you didnt honor them as men, you should at least honor their positions. Weve had all kinds of presidents. Short ones, fat ones, tall ones and skinny ones. But it doesnt matter what they look like, each of them are great in their own way. I think that their combined efforts have made our nation what it is today. We 2 should honor and respect them for that. It takes a great man to be a president, and we have had many. If we dont honor them, why should we be called The United States of America! All the presidents from George Washington down to Jimmy Carter have all had a face problems that concerned the whole nation. I think they did great. So, this Presidents Day, think about our presidents. Honor them, respect them and dont put them down. If you have a flag, put it out and show that youre proud to be a citizen of the United States. I am grateful and proud to belong to this great nation, America.
