Plain City, youve got something (among other things) to be proud of - your youth! Little league baseball is over, but the experiences and the growth obtained by the participants will go on for a long time. All the little league baseball teams who qualified to compete in the tournament playoffs, performed superbly. All five Plain City Teams were new comers to the tournament competition, but played like veterans. The boys fourth grade team, coached by Robert Graves played hard, but were knocked out of the competition in their first game. There will be more opportunities for this team next season however. The seventh grade team, coached by Dennis Hadley was ranked as a fifth place team but stormed through the competition, rising victorious over several first place teams. Losing the last game of the tournament was a bitter defeat for the team and the supporters. Plain City Eighth Grade Boys coached by Gaylen Hansen and LeGrand Hadley, arose victorous throughout the entire tournament displaying superb team work and excellent ball playing ability. Again, the last game of the tournament, determining the county champion was a disappointing loss as they went down in a tight defeat Leslie Hadley says she feels pretty good about the way her team performed: Theyve really came a long way. Last year, they didnt win a single game. So, getting to compete in the tournament is a big accomplishment, claims Les proudly: Lisa Goodells eighth grade girls team entered the competition as a first place team. The girls played an accomplished game but took a disappointing loss, which as with all the Plain City Teams this season knocked them from the competition. 7S Grand Prix window, How Abou A Steal Air.
