Leland G. Birmingham, Ron Stephens, and Senator Sherman Wayment were a few of the featured visitors at a fe;emialiy)eflol. parent-representati- meeting held' at wahlquist Junior High last week. The special guests, along with the parents, enjoyed a school lunch before embarking to the Medical Center for a special meeting. Cindi Marsh and' Lori Charlton will represent Wahlquist in the annual Spelling Bee Contest for the School Weber County District. Cindi, a seventh grader, is the daughter of Robert and Sharon Marsh. Lori attends the eighth grade and is the Charlton. Assistant principal, Paul Ogden, got his thinking cap going this past week as he instituted a witty Litter Campaign at the school. Mr. Ogden has had officrs in the studentbody presidency hide small bits of paper around the school, with a name of the faculty or administration on it. Students have been asked to be aware of litter in school hallways. As an in centive, if a student picks up a piece of litter, some are bound to find the pieces of paper with the names on it. They are then awarded a silver dollar , with an eagle on it. Troy Palmer, son of Darrel and Donna Palmer was just one student who picked up a piece of lucky last litter at Friday Wahlquist, Fobbi Berrett, the studentbody secretary had stashed away the litter. Warriors ready school Students at Weber High School are busily involved in preparations and rehearsals for their annual school play. This years play, Up The wUl be Down Staircase presented March 28, 29 and 30th. Each evening the play will start at 7:30 p.m. in the school auditorium. Mrs. Robert S. McKean is directing the production and is assisted by student directors, Nyla Flamm and Steve Williamsen. The stage set has been designed by Mr. John Oliver. Stage manager is Randy Barker, Having leads in the play are Sherri Galloway, Joni Berger, Shay Holley, and Rulon Eames. Tickets for the per- formance will be available for adults at $2 a piece. Students will be admitted for $1.50 and children for $1.
