Show Ben Lomond Beacon, Aug. 3, 1978, Page 3 Distinguished Woman nominees being sought Cancer clinics set By Carol Shaw Its vacation time and it seems everyone is going someplace exciting! I am anxiously looking forward to our familys annual trip to North Fork, myself. Five families from North Ogden just returned from a two week jaunt to Canada together. Polly and Ray Rees and their daughter, Cammie; Lucy and Marcus Orton with their sons, Ralph and Eric; Donna and Jack Hall with their kids, Jeff and Lori; Robert and Shirley Kelly and their grandson, Shawn Potokar and Marva and Lionel Chambers with Kelly and Lee Ann, their kids, traveled together. They all had campers or trailers and stayed in camps along the way. They vistited Banff, Jasper, the Calgary Stampede, Edmunton and Cardston, where they went to the temple. Marva said they were amazed to travel so far and find fellow North Ogdenites in the Cardston Temple. Helen and Burns Toolson and Jean Welling happened to be vacationing there at the same time and happened to be in the same session! Marva said they all had a wonderful time, as the weather was perfect and everyone in the group was so congeniel. A highlight of the trip for her was their visit to Kootenay Bay. She said it is a beautiful huge lake with roses where they camped as big as grapefruit. They campd in a grassy spot under trees laden with ripe cherries, with the beach nearby. Marva said, if the earth was to receive Paradisical Glory - the work has already been done, there. Some of the Berretts in the West have been visited by their kinfolk from England lately. Bessie Berrett Cornelison contacted some of her distant cousins in England in an effort to trace her geneology 35 years ago. She has been corresponding with them ever since. Because of her contact, another cousin, living here in the U.S. made a trip to England about 10 years or so ago and got aquainted with them, as well as getting some geneological information. Then two years ago, Elwood Berrett, Bessies brother, and his wife, Marie went to England and visited this family. But Bessie has never been able to go. So the English cousins packed up and came to visit her and the others they had already met. They went with the different families to different places while they were here, including Bear Lake and the Southern Utah Parks.
