an assault case on monday night about 10 john dale a tin lin horn gambler took a young woman out riding and induced her to go into the halfway half way house with him where he be made indecent proposals to her she rejected him and he promised to take her home in safety after going a short distance he be made in an assault on her but was driven off by a couple of young men who beard heard her calls tor for as si stance dale escaped and has not since been heard of the assaulted woman who is about 30 36 years of age left for her home in utah county this morning she was formerly from omaha and had been in salt lake but three weeks she had bad been warned not to go riding with dale as he was a bad character
