At the Bryant, Lincoln and Irving free adult night schools, which are held every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 7 to 9 p. m., a course is offered in the psychology of salesmanship, which is aimed to increase the selling power and income of any salesman. Edward Johnson, formerly with the WPA music project and recently with the local CCG camp, has been assigned to teach music in the free WPA adult night school at Bryant high school. Mr. Johnson is offering a class in the short course harmony method of piano, one in chorus and one in string ensemble. These classes will be given during the regular school periods from 7 to 9 p. m. On this date the local unions new hall was dedicated and a social dance and program were enjoyed by members and invited guests during the ceremonies at night. The new hall of the Sweets Mine local union is the first to be owned by the U. M. W. of A. in Utah. It has a seating capacity of 500, and will be used for union meetings and social gatherings of the com- munity. Another strictly local union-ownhall in Utah is the one owned by Tintic District Miners union No. 151 at Eureka. The Labor temple in Salt Lake) City is under a form of corpora- tion ownership. Its management is chosen by votes of the share holders. Each share votes at annual meetings instead of local unions and individual members. The fac tion which comers most shares for voting at the annual meetings has the say as to who is who in the management of the temple. As a result of this method a certain clique has gobbled up control of the stock and has managed the temple affairs to suit themselves for the past few years.
