Jon is a local young man who is a volunteer fireman, husband, and the father of three young boys. Read! Read!" This is the message Salina Elementary's new principal, Selena Marquardson wants all elementary aged students and parents to hear. "We are gong to be North Sevier this year" Marquardson reports, "and our goal is to have everyone reading at grade level. Although this is Marquardson's first year in an administrative position, she is not new to reading the school-o- r the job- - as she came to Salina last year as the literary coach and Vice Principal. "I'm looking forward to the challenge. We have a wonderful staff and some great kids." A graduate of Hurricane High School, Marquardson received her BS from Utah for seven years.
