Hall, like all citiens, is entitled to the presumption of innocence. Nothing has been proven, and let me assure your readers that Hall i intends to vigorously defend against these charges. All of us have very strong reactions to allegations of sexual abuse. Simply , charging a citizen with an offense of this nature has enormous consequences, not the least of which is a newspaper reporting the filing of such charges. A cilien unjustly accused of any crime suffers enormous personal harm the day his name appears in a newspaper. With this in mind, we ask that your readers breath some life into the presumption of innocence. The charges are nothing more than accusations, unproven and adamantly denied. Hall will have his day in court, and we believe he will be exonerated by a jury of his peers when that day arrives. YoursTruly, sWalter F.
