Show January 3. 1996 Gunnison Valiev NewsSalina Sun Page 5 dntcll News Jessica Brown - Elwin Dale (Skeeter) Peterson ' r Graveside services for Elwin Dale (Skeeter) Peterson, 65, of Redmond were held Tuesday, January 2,1996, at 12:00 noon in the Utah Veterans Memorial Park, with Bishop Myron Mickelsen conducting. He died December 27, 1995, at the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was bom September 9, 1930, in Neola, Utah, to Elwin and Lillian Reed Peterson. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. He married Eldora Clark, and was later divorced. He Married Lucille Winters, on May 28, 1966 in Ely, Nevada. He was a heavy equipment operator and worked highway construction. He is survived by his wife Lucille of Redmond, and three daughters. Mrs. Tevor (Lorie) Manser of Kaysville: Loraine Birmingham, of Bountiful: Mrs. Paul (Loma) Hartvigsen, of Bountiful; Brothers and Sister, Glade and Fem Peterson, Neola, Dwaine (Skinner) and Lilith Peterson, Alpine and Cleo and Walley Stephensen, of Murray. Mr. and Mrs. Bart Kiesel and family hosted the party where dinner was served and presents were exchanged. There were about 45 family members there. Visiting at the home of Mrs. Gwenyth Crane for the Holidays were Mr. and Mrs. Rick Pingree and family of Sandy, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Anderson and family of West Valley, and Mr. Kurt Crane of Magna. On December 22, Mr. and Mrs. Leeon Christensen met Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Lee of Castledale in Salt Lake where they met the Tyler Lee who came home from his mission from Illinois. Then on December 23, the Christensens went on to Boise, Idaho to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gaylan Holdaway where they able to see their granddaughter, Sabrina Holdaways, baptism. Grandchildren Michael and Jermey Moore stayed with their grandparents to enjoy the rest of the year. Sheldon and Madge Watts took a Christmas trip to visit their children and thought they would see some snow, but there wasnt any in Montana or in Wallis, Idaho, where they visited with their sons and families and then went to Cour DAlene and visited with another son and family. No Snow! They then traveled on to Spokane Washington and visited with their daughter and family and returned home on Christmas Eve to no snow, but they enjoyed the trip. Bart and Sunnie Brown and family spent Christmas Eve and Christmas day in Antimony with Sunnies father, Kenneth King. Enjoying Christmas breakfast with Dean and Darlene Bartholomew were Paul and Pam Braithwaite and family. They all enjoyed Christmas Dinner at the Braithwaites in Salina. On December 27, Deanne and Craig Blumel and family of Lyman, Wyoming came to visit with the Bartholomews and brought their cousin Rikkie Dove with them. On Thursday, Pam and children, Chan and Ann visited with the family and Chan stayed over night to visit with the cousins. Darrell and Maxine Bolinder were over night guests at their son Ron and Cindys home in Erda. On Monday they all joined with other family members at their son Jerry and Jan's home in Grantsville and enjoyed Christmas dinner and family party. There were 32 members present and they all enjoyed exchanging presents and visiting. Christmas day guests at the home of Murrell and Elaine Lyman were daughter Julie and husband, Nathan Griffith, of Salt Lake and parents, Glen and Lillian Lyman. Robert Hammond of Salmon, Idaho, visited with parents Milton and Ruby Hammond on December 20 and 21 and Vivian Tree and children visited on December 23 with her parents.
