Axtells Primary held their Quarterly Activity on Saturday, April 2. Their theme was Service. The chil- dren colored Easter pictures and made Easter Baskets, then each child was to bring a can good for the Easter baskets. The Baskets were then delivered to the widows and any single woman that lived alone in our ward. Afterward the primary had their Easter party and hunted for eggs. Gunnison High held their Junior Prom on Saturday, April 2. Those in attendance from Axtell were, Kurtley Bertelson, Maghan Mecham, and Sara Sanders. Kory Bertelson and family came in late yesterday evening (Sunday) to visit with Arva Lee and left on Monday. They are from Kearns, Utah. Doug and Joan Gillies took their daughter Tracy and grandson Mitchell over to Green River to meet to return Tracys mother-in-lahome together to Colorado. Gunnison Highs Adult Education Class held their class party Tuesday, March 28. Guest speakers were Darrell and Bernice Fullmer and their daughter, Amy Fullmer. They spoke and showed the class slides and videos of their Russia and England Tour. Our thanks and appreciation goes out to our teachers, Mr. Larry Henrie, and Mr. Reed Roberts, also to the speakers, Darrell and Bernice Fullmer and daughter Amy for sharing this with our class. A special thank you, to Mr. Reed Roberts for the dutch oven dinner he prepared for our class and to all who helped make this dinner possible. Those who were down were Andy and Sharon Hekking, Merle Hecker, Scott and Annie Taylor and their son, Ryan and daughter, Sarah. Frank and Heather Adams, their daughter Jenna. Marjories sisters, Mathel Mickelson and Elaine Christensen, Leland and Donna Vee Sorenson, Elwood and Julia Sorenson, and the Relief Society Presidency. Nancy Boore and children went up to Salt Lake for the week-en- d to visit and celebrate Nancys moms birthday. An Education Regional Conference will be held this Friday and Saturday, April 7 and 8, Celebrating the Family. This will be at the historical Richfield tabernacle. Axtell had their club party out at Dennys on Friday March 3 1. It was hosted by Ken and Judy Buckland.
