Cache Jaycees Yellsville Grocery To Organize Changes Hands ISyrum City Council Meets Next Monday Councilmen ganizational meeting next Monday evening, March 25, at the City Hall at 8 p. m. At that time officers will be elected and the organization of the South Miller, Clifford Poole, Homer J. Petersen and Recorder Thos. Eliason. Councilman A. J. Claw-.so- n excused. Mr. Beveridge met with the Council to discuss the proposed sewer project for Hyrum city. sales Mr. Louis L. Potomac, engineer from the Lang Co. came into the meeting to discuss and consider amount of underground gasoline storage to be stored in city residential districts. Mr. Leroy Jack Wright, Smith and James Stoddard representing the American (Legion .asked the City CouncU to give them the proceeds from a Saturday night dance to help their organization for the coming year. The Council ap proved a motion to let the Legion have the proceeds from the dance on March 23- Mayor Jorgensen asked that the Legion continue to arrange parties for welcoming home the soldiers. Elite Hall Manager Lorenzo Olsen came to meeting to talk over some problems of the Elite their Hall. The Council gave (consent that all ladies be admitted free to the dance and that gentlemen pay 75c. celebration The Centennial lates for cities in the state will he set for each city. The Lions Club will be asked to appoint an and beautification advertising committee to beautify the town for the 1947 Centennial. Fire equipment for the city was discussed. Larsen Passes Away a ? h C' John N. Larsen, 59, passed very suddenly at his home on Monday about 2 p. m. He has been ill for several years with a heart condition but was in his truck going to Hyrum on business. The engine was going and he was ready to start when he slumped over the wheel and was dead when Mrs. Larsen reached his side. He was born in Denmark on November 17, 1886 and came to the United States with his parents George and Carrie Nielsen Larsen, when he was four years of age. They made their (sws',i' i j ) j ; 1 ay home at Pocatello, Idaho and Logan before coming to Wellsville In 1894. He lia3 made his home here since that time. Mr. Larsen married Mary Myers In the Logan temple on December 15, 1909. They were the parents of six children. He is survived by his wife and the following children, Darrell and John Larsen of Ogden and a and Oneda Larsen of Wellsville.
