Mrs. Gunnell taught one year in Rock Springs, Wyoming and one year, at the Smithfield school since leaving here two years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Gunnell and their son James have spent the summer months in Logan canyon where Mr. Gunnell has had employment with' the Logan Electric and Power Co. MU REORGANIZED The YMMIA of the Second ward of Hyrum was reorganized recently in the regular sacrament meting of the ward. Those sustained were Grant Nielsen, predident; Robert Gulaveseh, 1st assistant; and Robert Allen, 2nd assistant. Those released with a vote of thanks for their efficient work were Lee Nielsen, president and Garnet Larsen as counselor. NEW WARD PRIMARY AND MIA REORGANIZED On Sunday afternoon at the sacrament meeting of the Wells ville Second ward, the Primary and YLMIA were reorganized. The retiring oficers of the Primary are: Mrs. Esther Kerr, Mrs. Geneva Maughan and Mrs. Beatrice Lindley. The officers retiring from the YLMIA are Mrs Leora Parker, Mrs. Amy Cooper and Mrs. Gertrude Bailey. The newofficers are Primary: Mrs. Letha Lindley, president; Mrs. Thelma Haslam and Mrs. Ruth Parker as counselors. The Mutual oficers are Mrs. Naomi Perkes, with Mrs. Sara J. Parker as first, and Mrs. Laverne Maughan as second counselor. FIRE IN POOL HALL The bean factory in Hyrum known as the California Packing Plant, started it3 seasons run on Tuesday morning. Workers began the Ilyrum shift at 10:30 a. in. and ran on into late afternoon. The out-otown workers began - their shift on Wednesday morning. Mr. Clark, the superintendent of tho company, stated that in a very few days the factory will be running two shifts each day. The crops look promising, as these recent showers have helped out considerably. Ho stated that last year .the cont nuod dry tpell caused the blossoms on the - beans to dry up and fall off which made the canning season shorter than other years. A RITES N mariage of interest which took place Wednesday evening in the Logan LDS temple was that of Miss Ua Ree Maughan, daughter of Mr and of Mrs. David L. Maughan and Mr. LaMar J. Wellsvile Wright, formerly of Hyrum, but who ' is making his home in Wellsville. President El Ray Christiansen performed the ceremony. After a short honeymoon the couple will make their home in Hyrum.
