A hike to the head of Swan Creek was of interest to all, where the beautiful, blue waters well out from the bowels of the earth through a solid mass of rock. On Wednesday afternoon the return trip began with a twelve mile hike to Meadowville, where the night was spent. At 7 a. m. Thursday, a fourteen mile hike to Alex Hills for dinner was enlivened by a heavy fall of rain which soaked every boy to the skin but sharpened the appetite for the mid-dameal. A six mile hike in the afternoon, to Rock Creek was easily made, where camp was made for the night. Thus was completed a hike of 32 miles over the steepest and most mountainous part of the road. About 9:30 Friday morning the same cars which took the boys away, began' arriving to bring them home. On the whole trip nothing unpleasant happened, save a few indispositions, headaches and stomach disorders, which were soon overcome by doses from Prof. PI. P. Andersons medical chest. Not only was the trip one of more than usual pleasure and interest to the boys, but the excellent disciplinary effecct on the boys will prove of future value to them, and reflects much credit to the Scoutmasters in this well organized, big undertaking. .
