Lovers of horses and j horsemanship have been promised a good time at John Robinsons circus, which will exhibit in Logan, on Wednesday, August 25th, because the company is said to have one of the finest stables in the country ard also, a small army of skilled horsemen and horsewomen. Bareback riding, monkey drill, chariot races these are only a few of the exciting events that are on the program. The horses are not, however, the only attraction. The circus has a big menagerie, a flock of clowns and all the rebt of the features so dear to the young boys heart. ,One of the unusual aspects of the Rohinson circus is the fact that in its menagerie it has dozens of cubs lions, tigers, leopards and even elephant cub3. The presence of the cat cubs is particularly extraordinary, as lion and leapord mothers usually kill their young if they are born in captivity. They do this, Chris Zeitz, menagerie superintendent of the circus, explains, because they cannot hide them in their bare cages. I prevent this slaughter, said Mr. Zeitz, by providing hiding places for them an oi dinary box is all that's required just anything that jviil effectually conceal the cub Three of Mr. Zeitzs lion cubs are orphans and he is raising them on a bottle. The circus will give a parade on the principal streets of Logan proceeding the two performances. There will be two performances one at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, and one at 8 oclock at night. The doors will be opened an hour in advance of show. Preceeding the performance, there will be a concert by the combined e band. adv The District School', and High School will open foi regular work Sept. 7th.
