WILLEY, Chairman Second Congressional District. In his speech on the war resolution in the senate in Aprtl, 1917, ' Senator Harding said: r I am not voting for war in the name of democracy. I want it known to the people of my state and to the nation that I am voting for war tonight, for the maintenance of just American rights, which is the first essential to the preservation of the soul of this Republic. Senator Harding was not moved by sentimental considerations, nor by President Wilson's claim that the United States jmtered t lie wur to make the world safe for democracy. Senator Harding reflected t lie sentiment of a vast majority of the American people, and he told t lie truth. He is of tlie same opinion still. Political Advertisement II. P H.
