Show PEACH DAY NOTES on saturday evening last the parado parada commute committe tor for peach day held c very animated meeting 1 in the commercial club rooms from out in the valley there were present W S hansen C G adney and david Ho holmgren lingren the other member mr S N cole being unable to be present the committe organized to begin with by electing C G adney chairman lind and john ir horsley Secre secretary tark after some little discussion regard ing the nature of the parade it was decided to invite and urge the public to be represented in the shape of a float each of the great industries of the county such as stock raising horticulture agriculture and commerce to be advertised in the most creditable manner possible mr air hansen served notice that he would be represented by two splendid floats which would be drawn by 12 of 0 his fine horses other big farmers stock men and ests are urged to do likewise the committe named sheriff joseph josephson as marshal of the day giving him authority in fit connection with the secretary to appoint all the county precinct constables as aids to the grand Il marshal arshal and the recommendation men dation is made that horses of uniform color be secured each to be dressed in a good saddle bran new one it if possible the grand marshal and his aids wilt will be supplied with badges designating their authority the following were named as aa supervisors er of the parade and arrangements county bands and sugar company float W S hansen brigham band and float from mantua william jensen home manufactures will jensen and john it II horsley Ho raley live stock section of parade S N cole agricultural section david holm sann aren I 1 horticultural section C 0 adney and david 0 stohl commercial section hyrkin J han son there will also be an automobile section in which all the owners of machines in the county are invited to bo be represented with just as gorgeously decorated machines as they care to display it Is the purpose ot of the committe to have the state county and city officials who are present on the bl bis day ride in the procession in automobiles and every business firm farmer fruit grower or citizen who can and will Is earnestly requested to lit fit up a float to help make the parade a pageant nt the likes of which has never been attempted in this northern part of the state those contemplating entering the parade communicate muni cate that fact to the chairman mr adney or the secretary mr air alors ley at once |
