For the first time in the schools 20 year history, the Lancers finally won a major track invitational as they racked up 88 points to capture first place in the 74th annual Brigham Young University Track and Field Invitational. The Lancers actually won the prestigious meet by 25 points over Hillcrest who finished second with 53 points. Davis High finished a surprising third by gathering in 42 points. Olympus and Orem tied for fourth place with 38 points and Bountiful made a respectable showing with a sixth and 37 points. Heights AYSO sets soccer signups May 16th Soccer reigistration for the Kaysville-Fru- Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 16 at Kaysville Junior High School, 100 E. 350 S. AYSO involves about 1,200 youths. Kaysville, The boys and girls take part in everyone plays recreation soccer in the fall, and in a more competitive season in the spring. Eligible to play AYSO soccer are all boys and girls ages 5 to 18, or those bom from 1969 to 1982. Registration fees for those bom 1978-198- 2 will be $17. The fees will be $22 for older youths. The Davis High senior can compete with the best of em in either the sprints or the long jump. Lately she has been having a heyday and she hopes her recent success can continue into this weekends Davis High Invitational and right on into the region meet the weekend following. Schryver was on top of the field in the East High Coaches Invitational when it came to the long jump. Then in the middle of last week, Schryver put on quite a show in the dual meet against Viewmont as she won the 100 and 200 meters and also claimed the top prize in the long jump with an impressive leap of 17 feet and 6 in- ches.
