ID) ni . Syracuse Sets V i i December lt)th, the studentbody of Central viewed the ninth grade mixed chorus in The Music of Bethlehem, the annual Christmas Cantata. Later that night the program was shown to the students parents. The chorus, which is under the direction of Frank Parker, did an excellent job and the program was enjoyed by all. Backing the chorus were interesting tableaus put on by students not in the chorus. Wanda Tiller! and Berne Feuerstein directed these scenes and a fine job for the tableaus added much color to the program. On December 23rd the chorus will again present the cantata at the Layton First Ward. Morning Dances For several weeks, since the weather became cold, Central has been having morning dances. These dances which are sponsored by the Student Council are held in the gymnasium on Tuesday and Thursday. They start at eighty-thirt- y and end at The six council members in charge are Gayle Allen, Lynne Housley, Karen Wright, Hazel, Harvey, Margaret Whitesides, and Susan Scoffield. The students have participated excellently at these dances and when the new year comes they will eight-fif-ty-fiv- e. be started again. Basketball Teams Central Davis basketball teams this year look as good as they have in past years. They have been practicing for several weeks under the direction of Coaches Noble Fishbum and Kent Murdock, Pentecostal Church Sets Services For Christmas Rev. Stanley Swanson Sunset of Sunset announces that the Christmas services in the Pentecostal Church in Sunset will be held Sunday, December 23, at 7:30 p.m. The children of the Sunday School will put on the program for the evening. Jerry Liston, ."3, a senior at the University of Utah; and Jack Hill, 51, a senior at the Utah State Agricultural College, were chosen to participate because of their outstanding athletic ability. According to Coach Jack Curtice of the University of Utah, this is probably the first time two boys from the same town have been chosen, and probably the first time two Shriner players have been coached by the same man, in this case, Coach Lee Ljston. All around, the students of Central had an exciting and entertaining day and they hope when the new year comes their activities are as interesting as those of 1050 were.
