The ten ladies who met to organize the group were: Mrs. William Doe, Mrs. Dale Perkins, Mrs. Arthur Mitchell, Mrs. Stanley Shaw, Mrs. J. A. Parent, Mrs. Arnold Satterlee, Mrs. R. E. Robertson, Mrs. Howard Robinson, Mrs. George Wilmot and Mrs. Michael Burson. All the wives of volunteer firemen in Sunset are eligible to be members of this group. A Constitution was adopted and it was decided meetings of the group would be held once a month on the first Monday of each month at 7 p.m. Officers elected by those present were, Mrs. Daniel Lynch, president; Mrs. William Doe, vice president; Mrs. Michiel Burson, secretary and historian, and Mrs. Dale Perkins, treasurer. A Christmas charity project was decided on by the group. An Alice in Wonderland Character doll will be provided with an extensive ward-rob- e by the ladies. Funds on sale of dolls will go towards helping firemen with the Toys for Tots project which they will sponsor during the next few weeks before Christmas. |
