Lt. and Mrs. Flenniken will spend a week in Sun Valley and will visit in Idaho Falls with Mac Flenniken, father of Barry. After visiting here another week they will return to Kentucky and will depart for Germany the last of October. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Bennett and four children left Tuesday for their home in Fresno, California, after visiting here and in Salt Lake City with relatives. Mrs. Don DeWitt, Mrs. Robert Call and Mrs. Dean Call entertained with a surprise party in honor of Vernetta Call on her anniversary Monday evening. Dinner was served. Mrs. Ethel Corbridge is spending a month in Driggs, Idaho, with her daughter and the Gordon Sessions. She was called there because of the illness of Mrs. Sessions. Mrs. Coleen Simmons spent the week end in Goshen, Utah with her parents, the Ned Okelberrys. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Simmons entertained with dinner at the Canton Cafe in Ogden Thursday evening in honor of their son, Bob, on his birthday and Deans mother, Mrs. Maggie Simmons, both birthdays being the same week. J u r Layton Jaycee Board meeting was held Monday, October 24, at 8 p. m. at the City Hall. A Jaycee Story movie in color presenting an authentic portrait of young men in action was presented. Jaycees and partners were invited. Some state and national officers were in attendance. Light refreshments were served to a large crowd. Mountain View Daughters of Pioneers held their meetnig Wednesday at the home of Captain Irene Schow, assisted by Bette Jorgensen. Pioneer lesson was given by Oreta Low.
