Farmingt First ward has David Hughes presenting a musical program which includes numbers from a Barber Shop Quartet and his own selections. North Farmington will have as its treat movies and slides shown by Mr. and Mrs. Albert Moon on their trip to Canada, also pictures have been secured on the Book of Mormon. Farmington Second ward will present a musical under guidance of Kenneth Hansen of Kaysville, which will include numerous selections and studies. Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Especially fun is the miliCouples League, composed of tary personnel and their wives, who bowl on Wednesday nights. Some of the wives are just learning the sport, and the report is that most of them have suffered from aches and pains in their attempts, but all are having a wonderful time. Bowling between teams comprised of military personnel only, takes place on Monday and Tuesday nights. A dinner party was given last Saturday night at the home of Comdr. and Mrs. C. T. Nefzger, who asked Mrs. C. H. Gillilan, Capt. C. A. LaFarge, Capt. and Mrs. E. II. Wangelin, and Comdr. and Mrs. R. F. Lynch to be their guests. Congratulations are being received by Lt. Comdr. M. E. Kaye on his recent promotion to that rank. To celebrate the occasion, he was host to all the officers of the station at a wetting down party held in the BOQ last Friday evening. Special invitations were extended to Mrs. C. II. Gillilan and Mrs. E. II. Wangelin. Saturday evening Capt. and Mrs. C. W. Hunter entertained Mrs. Hunters mother, Mrs. Myrtle Painter of Provo, and her house-guestMr. and Mrs. James Cox and son, Tom, of La Crosse, Wiss, consin. Lt. and Mrs. A. G. Gudgeon drove to Holladay, Utah, last Sunday, where they were dinner guests of Mrs. Frank Daughters. Capt. Daughters is serving with the Army Medical Corps overseas. Entertaining Monday evening in their quarters were Lt. Comd. and Mrs. J. H. Whitmer, who asked guests to come for dinner. Attending were Mrs. C. II. Gillilan, Capt. C. A. LaFarge, Comdr. and Mrs. R. F. Lynch, Lt. and Mrs. C. A. Creel, and Ens. B. V. Donahue. Lt. E. L. Reeb, former communi- cations officer, was detached from duty last Monday and will now be stationed in San Diego, Calif. Prior to his departure- a farewell party was given in his honor at the BOQ, with the bachelors of the Depot acting as hosts. About twenty navy and civilian couples were invited to the affair. Miss LaVonne Glotfelty left Wednesday for her home in Fort Pack, Montana, after a visit with Lt. (j. g.) M. A. Enseleit. While here she was the houseguest of Capt. and Mrs. C. W. Hunter. Gudgeon and well known to the NaVy families here, returned to San Francisco yesterday after a years stay in the Ogden area. - chestra is under the able direction of Lee Frost.
