Show Page SEPTEMBER THE JOURNAL 8 Davis Win Honors 4-H'- ers At State Fair Davis CounFARMINGTON exhibited their projects ty exceptionally well at the 1!53 Utah State Fair, according to J. Keith Hughes, assistant County Agent of Davis County, In the Dairy division, 7 boys ex- also received grand champion honors on his cow and won the state showmanship and fitting contest. Walton Ford, of Centerville, Brent of Centerville, Terry Lawson, Smoot, Centerville and Steven Richeson of West Point, received blue ribbons on their calves and heifers. Lee Zaugg, of West Point, and Val J. Stuart, of Kaysville, received red ribbons on their heifers. A total of k Jerseys and Holstein heifers were exhibited. to the State Fair and they exhibited about 35 chickens. These chickens received blue, red and white ribbons and Henry Call, won Sweepstakes honors on one of his prize roosters. Other club members who showed were Hal Parkin, Thad Bangerter, Jerry Lee Ingles and Donna Stephens. took r 4-- II In the Crops division, Dr. and Mrs. Edgar Higgs, leaders of the Rainbow Garden Club, from Clinton had 5 boys and girls enter their Mr. garden crops.
