Mr. and Mrs. Horace Steed entertained at a family dinner at their home Sunday afternoon, honoring the G4th birthday anniversary of Mrs. Steed. Mr. and Mrs. II. J. Barnes are spending the week in Washington, D. C., visiting their daughter and Dr. and Mrs. Lowell Gillispie and family. Mrs. Genevieve L. Barnes, Mrs. Kenneth McKee, Mrs. Matt Lavender and son George and Larry Jones all of SaSlt Lake City were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold M. Barnes. Mr. and Mrs. Darvel Miller are spending ten days in California as guests of their son and daughter-in-laMr. and Mrs. Jack Miller. Mr. and Mrs. Noble Sandall are vacationing in southern Utah for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Heinrick, Salt Lake City, visited with their aunt Miss Irene Swan Sunday. John R. Gailey, Miss Faye Sand- son-in-la- w, ers, Mrs. Evelyn Crockett, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Gailey and Miss Bessie Gailey, left Saturday by Plane for England where they will attend the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth. The Relief societies of the three Kaysville wards will hold their icgular monthly and report meeting on Tuesday and Wednesday June 2 and Brd. The Third ward meet on Tuesday when the visiting teachers will meet at p.m., when the teach-ei- s topic will be given by Mrs. Mary Bowman, after which the regular meeting will convene and the theology lesson will be given by Mrs. Amelia B. Cottrell. The First ward society will meet on the same date at 2 p.m. when Mrs. Minnie Webb will give the theology lesson. The Second ward society are scheduled to meet Wednesday morning. Mrs. Sowards vas born in Kaysville, a daughter of Jacob and Ara Ball Nance. She spent her early life here and since her marriage, she has made her home in Colorado. Among her survivors are a brother Wilburn Nance of Kaysville. Mrs. Anne Thomassen, Long Beach, California, is visiting at the home of Mrs. Roetta V. Kilfoyle for a few days. Mr. Paul is the brother of Frank Paul of here. Several friends and relatives saw them off on the train at the Ogden station on Wednesday May 20. They had returned from Samoa in February and were recently called to return. They reside in Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Mumford were sustained Sunday as the new Gleaner and M Men leaders of First ward. The Third ward officers and teachers met last Friday evening for their monthly meeting. Honored at the meeting were the outgoing officers of the group. They were Mrs. Elmo Hodson, president, Lona Stevens and Fern Schencks, counselors and Delma Bushnell secretary. Special guests were Mrs. Jean Wilcox, Mrs. Bertha Criddle and Marion Hortin, stake board members.
