On the same program were five minute talks by Dale Reed, who spoke on the Word of Wisdom and Alan Smith, who spoke on The Life of My Grandfather Wilson. They were filling an assignment in their Deacon work. Rickey Holbrook rendered a piano solo. Kendall Sedgwick received a pleasant surprise last Sunday evening when upon answering the door he was met by a buddy of his from Salt Lake City who had served in Guam during the past ward with Kendall. Although the person &t the door had come for information regarding the location of the chapel in which he was expecting to speak events turned out happily in reuniting old friends. CLEARFIELD Maurine Forbes Hardison has received word that her husband TSgt Roy Hardison has been made assistant manager of the N.C.O. Club at Bordeaux, France. Maurine and their three children are staying at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs, J. P. Forbes on Main St. until they are able to join Sgt. Hardison in Europe. Three Clearfield women are teaching religion classes to the children at the Indian school in Brigham City. They are Mrs. B. D. Lemkuil, Mrs. Charles Simpson, and Mrs. Fred Judd. They are among 45 instructors in religious activity each Thursday from 4 to 5 p.m. There are 1200 protes-taSaint children, 98 Latter-da- y and 300 Catholic. The teachers are in turn instructed before classes by Reverend Arthur Gillespie, director of Christian education at the school. The parents of each child decides on their religious affiliation according to Dr. Boise head of the school. After an entertaining evening which included preparation for the childrens Christmas party for next Tuesday, gifts were exchanged among the teachers and a delicious pot luck supper .was served. The kiddies will enjoy their Christmas festivities next Tuesday when the older children will have a dance while the younger ones enjoy a show and then all will be visited by the jolly old man in the red suit. Ballard Christiansen, music director at the North Davis Junior High' school will bring his girls chorus to furnish the program at sacrament meeting. This meeting is scheduled for G:30 p.m. Clearfield Second ward Sunday school will hold their Christmas dance on Dec. 27.
