To bacon fat add ground beef, onion, celery, green pepper, garlic and mushrooms. Cook until lightly browned, stirring frequently. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, seasonings and cooked bacon. Simmer IV2 hours. Remove bay leaf. Add salt to rapidly boiling water. Gradually add spaghetti so that water continues to boil. Cook uncovered, stirring occasionally, until tender. Drain in colander. Place on serving dish and top with meat sauce.
