DARNES Correspondent Phone: Kaysville 34 Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn P Sheffield and son, Dean, Larry and Blair, left Friday morning for Cardston, Albeita, Canada, where they will spend the next three weeks visiting with Mrs. Sheffields parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Hacking, and other relatives in McGrath and Glenwood, Alberta, Canada. Mrs. liana Jarman, son, Michael and Mrs. Mary B. Reed and son left Friday morning for a tw'o weeks motor trip to the Pacific Northwest and California. George Haight spend Sunday in Lottie Layton attended the showing of Towanda, Pa., warns his the S.S, Argentina. Fitzgerald was one of the more than 600 Boy Scouts of America who sailed on the vessel from Hoboken, N. J., to attend the World Scout Jamboree at Bad Ischl, Austria. The gathering will begin on Aug. 3 and run through Aug. 13. About 15,000 Scouts from 26 nations will be there. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Simmons and daughter Frances and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Wiberg and daughter are visiting in the northwest with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Kinsey and children of Susanville, California have arrived here to make their home. Mrs. Kinsey is the former Lola Thoinley. Mrs. W. S. Wright of Charleston was last week guest at the Clarence Forbes residence. Mrs. Mable Layton, Mrs. Elizabeth Smith, Mrs. Ida Sullivan and Grace Forbes spent Thursday visiting in Logan with Mr. and Mrs. Russell Borchardt and Mrs. Alice Hansen. A bunch of psychologists came to this sad conclusion after telling jokes to college students. Very often they would give out with what they considered a and not get even a chuckle in response. Other times the students would laugh their heads off at stories that werent considered really funny. Maybe Im wrong, 'but what makes a psychologist such a better judge of humor than the rest of side-splitt- er wur So Funny? us? If a man gets a kick out of a joke that proves it was funny to him doesnt it? From where I sit, when psychologists try to set up a standard for a sense of humor theyre getting too serious for me. Stands to reason that different people laugh at different things, just as they have different tastes for most everything.
