Show THE LAYTON JOURNAL, LAYTON, UTAH MAY 19, 1949 ' A Successful Pel Show Home After 9 Weeks iMiss llene Hart To Be June Bride (On a Dad Luck Day) Tour As Lyceum the fifth Friday grade sponsored a pet show under the supervision of their teacher, Mrs, D. Stenbcrg. All the grades were invited to bring in pets. There were fifty-seventered which included: cats, dogs, rabbits, turfish, and chick-- ' tles, horny-toadens. . First, second and third prizes were given in each group while Peggy Wlscombe, third grade, won the sweep stake prize. She was owner of a pair of New Zealand rabbits. Pictures of winners and their I pets were taken by Parley Han-- . . sen. fifth grader. The pet show has been given for five oonsecutive years. It was eni joyed by everyone in the school, v and also by some parents. Centerville's fifth and sixth grades, with their respective teach- i ers. Mrs. D. Stenber, and Mr. LaMar Parkin, went on a scheduled tour in .Salt Lake, Tuesday May 13, 1949, en s, May 17. Places of interest visited were: Police station, . Telegram-Tribune- , radio station KUYA, and teh children's library. A tasty, wholesome lunch, pre pared by the cooks was enjoyed to the utmost at Liberty Park .
