Interesting to people of North Davis is the recent marriage of Metty Rae Ilammon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ileber G. ilammon of Roy, Weber cAunty, and Lewis Sly, son of Mr, and Mrs. Sidney A. Sly of Clearfield. In the presence of relatives of the two families and close friends, the ceremony' was performed at the home of the brides parents. Immediately following the retis, a reception was held in the home from 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Many friends and relatives called during that time, and the bride received lovely gifts. The young couple left on honeymoon trip to Pocatello, Ida. where they also plan to mane their home for the present time. Mr. Sly is a student at Idaho State college, studying a course in pharmacy. Annual Mother's day social spon sored by the members of the 0. F. F, club, was held Saturday ai tne home of Mrs. Delma Bushnell, club member. Assisting Mrs. Bushnell as hostesses were, Mrs. Fonda Stout, Mrs. Org Barlow, Mrs. Beverly Holbrook and Mrs. Dorothy Adams. Participating on the program were, Mrs. Irma Kennard, Florianne Barlow, Marilyn Bushnell and Gail Stout. As special guests, mothers were presented with gifts and pink carnations. Dinner was served to 21. Mothers were honored at all meetings conducted Sunday Dy the North Davis catholics, the Community chorch and the two L.D.S. Clearfield wards. Mothers present were each given a potted plant Mr. and Mrs. Tod Brown, also presented them wan double tulips, grown in their lovely flower garden. At an extended visit in Clearfield with his sons and their family, Bishop David Stoker is now at the home of a daughter, Mrs. LeRoy B. Smith, Sunset - home from the St. Benedicts where she had been receiv-nmedical treatment for several days. Mrs. Evelyn Sessions and daughter, Suzanne visited Monday with Mrs. Maxine Taylor and daughter, Elgia.
