(Maine) Adams, one oldest businessmen, of will celebrate his 80th birthday an nlversary at his home Tuesday with his family calling on him throughout the day and Tuesday evening a family party will honor him. Mr. Adams was bora at Day-toApril 5, 1869, the son of George W. and Mary Ann Pilling Adams, and has lived here all his life. On Aug. 20, 1895 he was married to Louisa Hill In the Salt Lake temple. Mrs. Adams died March 8, 1931, on Sept. 31, 1946 he married Jeanette B. Clark also in the Salt Lake temple. He was a farmer in Layton during his early years, and also worked with his brother Rufus Adams, for 47 years in the Adams and sons store in Layton. He managed this store for 15 years. In May 1941 he and his wife opened their own grocery store on East Gentile which has continued to operate and has deMr. veloped into a very fine store. Adams is enjoying very good health and is an active member of the Layton First ward.
