Show WWW' P"Wm Free Screening Checkups Sponsored by Lions Club The Utah Lions Mobile Van will be in Manti and Ephraim next week for the purpose of doing hearing, sight, blood pressure and diabetes screenings. The sight screenings will include visual activity for ever one, glaucoma tests for adults and ee lazy tests for The hearing screenings will be for hearing loss and middle ear problems. Persons w horn the screenings indicate hae problems in these areas will be ' vft! l referred to their personal physicians. 1 he screenings are free to the public and everyone is invited to participate. Local Emergency Medical Technicians, nurses and Lions Club members and their wives will staff the van during Manti Messenger, Thursday, April 20, 1978 Friday Forum Speaker Will Discuss Pleasure, Prosperity its Mann and Ephraim visitations. Lions Club members and their wives from all Utah clubs have had special training in the operation of the van The van will be in Manti on April 27 and in Ephraim on April 28. In Manti it will be stationed in the Nells Motor paiktng lot, according to Dale Lund, Manti Lions Club president. Hearing screenings will be conducted in the van and diabetes, blood pressure and sight screenings in the nearby Manti Adult Center. In Ephraim the van will be stationed behind the Ephraim City Building, Ralph Poulson, Ephraim Lions Club president, said The hearing screenings will take place in the van and the other screenings in the City Building The van w ill make twice yearly visits to Manti, Ephraim and other Utah cities It was purchased and equipped at a cost of about $40,000 by Utah Lions Clubs, with each club contributing about $10 per member The clubs raised the money b means ot fund raising projects and the donations of individual members The mobile van was especially designed lor clinical screening purposes and has the most modern equipment for sight, hearing, diabttes and blood pressure testing UTAH LIONS MOBILE VAN, which will be in Manti and Ephraim next week. Ted L. Hanks, Adjunct Professor and Exploration Geologist at BYU will be the Friday Forum speaker April 21, 1978. The title of his talk will be "Pleasure and Prosperity."
