Denison were Mr. and Mrs. Weldon Manti South Ward Sets Fund Day October 23 has been circled by the Manti South Ward as the Ward Fund Day. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for the sale of baked goods, sweats, articles in variety by the Relief Society, a country store and much more. A dinner is planned beginning at 6:30 for $2.00 per adult, $1.00 per child or $8.00 per family. Everyone is invited to attend and encouraged to bring his own dishes. Manti Lady Will Be Feted On 80th Birthday The children of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Carpenter, Manti, will honor their mother on her 80th birthday. An open house will be held at the Senior Citizens Center on Sunday, Oct. 27, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. It is also the Carpenters 55th wedding anniversary. Friends and neighbors are cordially invited. No gifts please. Christensen and five children from Salt Lake City. Sharon and Weldon came to do some .remodeling for her mother. October 17 - 18 - 19 Mr. and Mrs. Vernaldo Hatch from St. George came Wednesday and went back on Thursday. Mr. Hatch is the father of Mrs. Forest Washburn. They stayed at the Washburn home. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Barton, Rebecca Barton and Tom and Mary Ruth Brunger of Orem went to Salt Lake City last week to see a performance of the musical show South Pacific in the Pioneer Memorial Theather. Director of the show, plus the orchestration was Jim Prigmor, one of the personal friends of the Bartons. Anne Rowe, a cousin of Bruce Barton, took the leading part. Miss Lorna Nielson of Salt Lake City and a friend visited with her mother, Mrs. Will Nielson, last weekend. BLAZER B BOYS of the Manti Center and North Wat's h of cleaning up the park at the south end uf Manti. Leaders and Julia Graham, who worked along with tS.e boys. 1 h.. has spearheaded the project. Merwyn Kjar and baby visited with Lloyd and Kathleen Kjar over the weekend. In the sacrament service in the Manti South Ward last Sunday night were six young people from BYU in Provo who put on the program. There were four girls and two boys which performed three quartet numbers and three tajks. Husband, Jeff Cutrer drove Fonda and Louell to meet the Western Air Lines plane the evening of Oct. 4, returning him for the flight to Los Angeles airport Sunday evening. Fonda returned her mother to Manti Tuesday evening.
