Under the direction of noted artist, Carl Purcell, wielders of brush and pen will focus their talents in a concentrated two weeks of work on composition, special problems and the creation and critique of individual projects. Guest k art festival lecturers for the include Gaell Lindstrom from Utah State University, and Glen D. Anderson of Southern Utah State College. Osral Allred, prominent Utah artist and member of the Snow College Art Department faculty will complete the camp staff, which will provide a broad spectrum of experience and ability for the benefit of the Art Camp participants. Other faculty at the music camp will include members of the Southern Utah Youth Symphony teachers organization as well as local music personnel. A traffic accident in Christianburg resulted in about $800 damage to two vehicles on Saturday shortly after noon. Deputy Bruce Tidwell said a Ford Maverick driven by one Juan Silva was entering Highway 89 from a county road and smashed into the side of a car owned by Marcia Walker of Henderson, Nevada. Mrs. Walkers Mercury sustained about $600 damage and the Silva vehicle about $200 damage. Mr. Silva told police his brakes failed; however, officers at the scene said the brakes appeared to function normally after the collision. Mr. Silva was cited for driving without a license and for failure to stop at a stop sign.
