Show Messenger Donald Barton F anuly Honored m Magazine by Bruce Jennings Utah Ranch Family is the title of an article in a national Busy Bunch publication. Farm & Ranch Living, about the Donald Barton family. The article appears in the May, 1980, issue of the magazine, which is published in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This is the first time that a Utah family has been featured in Farm & Ranch Living. The article appears in the magazines The Way We Live section and ... the editor explains: Again, we had four farm families in four different parts of the country keep a diary for a full month to get a very personal peek into their lives. The Barton family diary that appears is the work of Barbara Sue Barton, wife, mother and grandmother, who records for the month of January the familys activities at home, on the farm, at school and at church. The article opens with a profile: Don and Barbara Barton ranch in the mountains near Manti, Utah. They have seven children, ages 3 to 23, and raise about 200 head of purebred Charolais and 400 head of commercial cattle on 1,300 acres of deeded land. They also raise 30,000 turkeys each year. The two oldest sons, Russell, 23, and Kent, 21, e work on the ranch. Richard, 20, is a missionary in Italy. The other children are Ann, 16, Dean, 9, Karen, 5 and Kevin, 3.
