Show March, 1944 3-A- THE CENTERVILLE NEWSETTE PLAY SCHEDULED CT Bolts and Nuts, a three-ac- t farce will be given on Monday and Friday, the 6th and 10th of March. There will be no charge for the play, but an anonymous contribution box will be set up, the proceeds of which will go to the Newsette. SOCIETY AND CLUBS On Monday, February 14, the Literature, Music and Art Club met at the home of Mrs. Joseph F. The cast includes Luana Smith, Gordon Cardall, Grace Tingey, Elgin Rigby, Melva Linge, Ruth McIntyre, Keith Shipley, Lorna Major, Clyde McIntyre, Claude Kirkland, Richard Lyman, Mrs. William Rigby and Richard Smith. Mayo Smith. The book, was reviewed Doctors by Mrs. The second meeting of the month for the Literature, Music and Art Club was held at the home of Mrs. Ethel Walton. Mrs. Betty Tingey reviewed the book, Oh River Remember. Mrs. Hazel Stevens, state nutritionist, and Thomas Q. Williams were the speakers at the P.-T.- A. meeting held Thursday, February 10. Musical numbers on the program were furnished by Norris Knighton and Betty Blood. The March meeting of the will be held at the Centerville school on Thursday, March 9. P.-T.- A The Clique Club met at the home of Mrs. Marjorie Harrison on Monday, February 14. Annual elections were held and Mrs. Wanda Clayton was elected president for the coming year. On the 28th of February Mrs. Maxine Reeves entertained the Clique Club at her home. Mrs. Louise Grant gave the book review. Lower Right: is crazy M MEN CONCLUDE PLAY Although the Centerville M Men won only one game this year, they had much solace in the fact that that victory was over their rivals from North Ward. They dumped the Second Warders in the last game of the season. Oren Red Randall and Carl Fernelius were the stars. These two were also the leading scorers for the whole season. Other squad members during the season: Elliott Randall, Kay Randall, Paul Selleneit, Ralph Tingey, Levoy Fernelius, Richard Williams, and yours truly, the sports editor. |
