She opened her home to ev eryone; her family and friends were her life. All who knew her loved her. Our hearts are broken, she will be sorely missed. She is survived by her parents, Ron and VeYonne John and Dixon; her Goldia children, Knudsen; Rhonda (Bill) Christensen and Bobby Christensen; siblings, Janice (John) Morgan, Brent Dixon, Linda (Kim) Hood, Nancy (Shawn) Bennett, Donnie (Wayne) Christensen and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. She leaves behind three loving grandchildren who adored her, Zachary, Katelyn and Alyssa. They will deeply miss their Grandma Debbie. We love you!- - Funeral services were held Debra K. He married Doris Booth on September 6, 1958. Dewey graduated from West High School and retired from AMSCO. He is survied by his ife and best friend of 50 years, Doris Bird; daughter, Lori Lee Bird (Boyd Enniss); stepdaugh- ters, Colleen O'Brien (Louis Salazar); Marcie O'Brien (Bill Beistline); grandchildren, Jenny, Leslie, Chrissy, Brian, Sarah and Julie Beistline; Mikki Bird; Heather and Matt Pollock; Ashley, Aubrey and Shade Andeison; eight nephews and nieces; brother, Brent Bird; sisters, Lois Johnston; Betty Craft; Joyce Butler; June Colianna; Elenore Titmus. Picture this: Friday night I was out and about with a couple of ladies from Kearns We three gals from Kearns are a real hand 1 in the 1 Debra Kay Dixon Knudsen Christensen, our faithful mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend passed from this life into the arms of her Father in Heaven after a courageous battle with cancer on March 28, 2008. She was bom November 2, 1951 in Salt Lake City, Utah to James and Ronald Dixon Nona VeVonne Campbell. She is the first child of six children. She was known to her family as being a "Tomboy". She would give anything to be outside. She loved playing softball, camping and working in her yard and garden. from Rick's She graduated a with Nursing Degree College and later on from LDS Business College. She found great satisfaction in caring for the needs of others in the Nursing profession for over 35 years. On April 27, 1973 she was blessed to marry her sweetheart, John George Knudsen Jr. in the Salt Lake Temple. They enjoyed 5 wonderful years together when her husband passed away from cancer, breaking her heart. She took on the added responsibilities of being a single mother w ith determination and was able to find much laughter and happiness being with her children. She later married Kenneth James Christensen on April 6, 1993 in the Jordan River Temple, once again filling her life with love and happiness. This too however, ended with his tragic passing after seven years of marriage. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Saints. She Christ of Latter-da- y had a fervent testimony of Jesus Christ that only increased despite the many trials that came hct way. Upon her retirement she serv ed as a temple worker in the offices of the Jordan River Temple and also did extraction work for the Family History Genealogy progiam. Doris was loved by many for being a sweet, kind and loving person. Those that knew her often said that she w as "the closest thing to an angel that they'd ev er met." She was v ery humble and unassuming, but had a great and noble spirit and stood as an example of unwavering strength and faith. Doris is survived by two sons and one daughter. Jack (Susan) Backnian, Bryan (Leslie) Backnian, and Debbie Jenson; step son and step daughter, Orval (11a) Fotheringham and VaLoy (Earl) Jeppson. She also has a combined total of 36 grandchildren, 107 and 56 great-gregrandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing and Doris Evelyn Bingham Backnian Fothcringham passed away on March 26, 2008 at the age ot 91. She was bom December 27, 1916 in Brigham City, Utah to John and Ella Bingham, the youngest of eight children. Doris married John Peter Backnian on January 1, 1935; their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They had five children. Jack, Sandra, Valerie, Bryan and Debra. She was preceded in death by Johnny in 1970. In 1989 Doris married OK. Fotheringham, OK had a son and daughter plus their families that lovingly welcomed her into their hearts and considered her their mother as well. OK passed away in 1996. Doris was an active member of the LDS Church and held many callings over the years. She especially loved music, and was a choir director on the stake and ward 1912 -- 2008 Ruth Ellen Bennion Johnson. November. 30,Y912-Mare- h ,,,26, 2008. A life of Caring. Ruth was born to Earl Slade Bennion and Nellie I lay ball in Taylorsville, Utah. Theirs was a home of industry and service and beauty, which ideals Ruth continued to live and foster throughout her life. She graduated from Cyprus High School, attended University of Utah where she obtained her teaching certificate. She was a beloved teacher of children at home, at church and in elementary school. She married Rolland O. Johnson, Dec. 29, 1937 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was always his devoted companion and support through years of teaching, farming, and retirement. If she kept a silent w atchword it w as "Speak Good of I v eryone". Mom was faithful in her serv ice in the Primary, Mutual and Relief Society'. She continued to be a force for good and guidance to her children, family and friends for seven years after her companions passing. Their precious daughter, Diane (Joseph Anderson) passed away in 1978. Joe later married Margo Parrish who was the perfect mother to Diane's children. We are happy that Mom, Dad and Diane are together again.
