When she first began etching glass for a hobby she self admittedly was just But soon goofing off. Enough, friends, coworkers and even her boss, started asking her to make personalised items for them. For Valentines Day six years ago, she made glasses with phrases such as love you and Be Mine etched pn them. She sold the glasses to her coworkers at a local grocery store and made $90 in the process. Vallejos has been etching requests ever since. Vallejos says the most popular requested items are personalized mugs. At twenty ! dollars each, they make a nice and affordable gift. She also makes company prizes and awards as well as items for area clubs. She can do anything glass. Vallejos works freehand which allows her greater flexibility on the surfaces she can etch on. Her glass canvases have been from vases to car windows. She has even etched a portrait once. Vallejos has always had a crafty side and enjoys making things. She also likes to give the items she makes away for gifts. She gave her mother a personalized vase with a colorful arrangement. Vallejos says that her mother loved it.
