Dr. Harrison is a graduate of the University of Utah Medical School and received his training at Penn State - Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. Dr. Harrison and his staff of well trained urgent care providers are available Monday through Friday for 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday for 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the current Granger Medical Clinic location (3725 W. 4100 S. - Bangerter Highway and 4100 S.) in West Valley City. This past week I visited the Granger Community Council and witnessed how parents, faculty and administration were working hand in hand to develop and monitor plans that will improve the education of students. Every member participated and knew where the money was being spent and the results of those expenditures. One important item worth mentioning, and was critical in their investment in children were the School Land Trust monies. All those in attendance voiced their concern that these dollars are extremely essential to the school and the allocation needs to continue as they are presently given ty Obituary Nanette Atkin Prokopis Emma Lolly Rokich, M ary b e 1 1 Johannessen, Karl and Anderson; 'and her special dog, Puddin Cake. Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Nanette passed away April 24, 2004, at the age of 65. She died peacefully at home surrounded by her family, and thus ending a struggle with emphysema. Nanette was bom June 12, 1938, in Tooele, to Floyd Thomas Atkin and Helen Dalton Atkin Milano. She grew up in, and graduated from Tooele High in 1956. She fell in love with Bill Prokopis; they married when he got out of the service in 1959 and have been side by side for the past 45 years. in Magna they Together raised four children. She dedicated her life to serving her family and brought them much joy and happiness. She was a hero and an. inspiration; we were fortunate to have this wonderful woman in our lives. She was always our biggest fan and will be greatly missed by all. Nan and Bill established Bills Lounge in 1964 where she has been a respected and business successful owneroperator for the past 40 years. Also, Nan was a member of the Salt Lake Ladies County Firemen Auxiliary and the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed following her kids and grandkids in their sports and was known to take in a Notre Dame Football game now and again. Survived by husband, Bill; sons, Tedd (Debbie), Steve (Stephanie); daughters, Kaye Cari Sis (Myshele), all from Miles Jr., (Dennis) great-grandmoth- Special thanks to Dr. (Yia-Yia- ), Gregory Dupont, Salt Lake County Fire Department, 13-ye- ar and the many friends, employees, and patrons of Bill's Lounge the over years . . . God saw you were getting tired, a cure was not to be, so He put His arms around you and whispered, "Come with Me. With tearful eyes we watched you suffer and saw you fade away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands to rest God broke our hearts to prove to us, he only takes the best. to contact our legislators and have them continue the program as it is now. In the last legislative session, several members wanted to put the money in the general fund instead of giving it directly to the schools. Although it didn't happen the last session, community members want to make sure the idea does not surface next year. our last school board Atmeeting we approved the transfer of several assistant principals. Don Christensen is moving from Fox Hills to Hunter and Whittier Elementary schools. Kandace Barber will transfer from Churchill Junior High to li Kennedy. Kirby Bauer, currently at Valley w ill go to Churchill, Marty Frustaci will move from Kennedy to Valley. Linda Call has been named assistant principal at Copper Hills and Magna Elementary. David Holt will leave his position as an intern assistant principal at Brockbank to become the assistant principal at Jim Hills and Fox Bridger Elementary. Everyone is gearing up for the CRT tests that will be administered in May. are reminded to that their children get to bed early and have a good breakfast while these tests are taken.
