Show West Valley News, Thursday, July 20, 1995 The Magna Times Cyprus Class of 1955 reunion Aug. 11-1- 2 OBITUARIES Hazel Mae Coon Bertoch Hazel Mae Coon Bertoch, age 87, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 13, 1995 due to complications incident to age. Ban Oct. 14, 1907 to Hyrum and Helen Brown Coon in Pleasant Green (Magna), Utah. Hazel married William Hemenway Bertoch Sept. 25, 1924 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death Aug. 15, 1978. As an active member in the LDS Church she had many responsibilities as a bishops wife, and served in teaching positions in the Primary, Sunday School; Mutual, Relief Society, and Counselor in Relief Society, President of the Young Womens MIA, and Secretary of the Sunday School. e William waked at the Hercules Powder Company and also managed a community store and later owned an appliance store for which he relied on her to manage while he was at wait during the day at Hercules.
