Kent Goble Feature Writer PROLOGUE The boys tied their horses in a cluster of trees and headed up into Lewis Canyon in search of pine trees. It was approaching Christmas and time to do some Christmas tree cutting. For the families of Coon- viile, it was a tradition to select a tree from Coons Ca- nyon each Yuletide season, The clouds that had obscured Coons Peak and the upper reaches of Coons Ca- nyon-, thickened and - snow began to fall. Winter on the Oquirrhs meant an abundance of snow and fre- - quent subfreezing temperatures.
