A second daughter, Catherine, was born September 17, 1836; then another baby girl, Margaret, was born two years later on September 17, 1838. PRIDDY MEEKS This is the third in a series of articles being written in an attempt to reach all descendants of Dr. Priddy Meeks, who was born August 29, 1795 in the Greenville District of South Carolina to Athe Meeks and Margaret Sneed. as Hopefully many descendents as possible will be notified before the big 200th birthday celebration, which will be held August 29, 1995. Priddy met and marred Mary Bartlet, his first wife, in 1815 and she died in Spencer County, Indiana. They had four children, Lovin, Eliza, Athe, and Elizabeth. Three years after the death of his first wife, Priddy married Sarah Mahurin Smith, widow of Anthony Smith. Sarah had one child by her first husband, named Susann. Priddy and Sarah were married on December 24, 1826 and they had five children, Mary Jane, Stephen Mehurin, Huldah, Margaret Jane, and Sarah Angeline. Priddys home and office will be restored in Parowan, Utah, and a monument will be built to honor him in Mt. Carmel. Spano is associated with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, as assistant conductor.
