Palmer Magna Times Editor The weather scared many participants away from Magnas annual Christmas Parade held on Nov. 29, but it didnt frighten away all the children who came to see Santa. In that aspect they werent by Necia disappointed. Santa came into town dressed in his red suit atop Magnas red fire engine. He took time after the parade to listen to the requests of any child who would sit on his lap. His most interesting request was from a little girl who wanted a telescope, he said. Santas message to the people of Magna and everywhere is to be mindful of those without Christmas this year. Its not what we can get from Santa but what we can give to those in need, he said. There were a few kids in sweaters (watching the parade) wanting coats and boots. It made your heart go out to them because they really needed them, Santa said. Santa also wanted to tell people to take pride in Magna. He was disappointed more people didnt participate in the parade. T think Magna can do a lot better. It is one of the best towns in Utah and Santas favorite, he said.
